Hi! I’m also interested in coding from home. I performed abstract coding for Kaiser Hospital in Oakland, CA…and at University of California San Francisco Medical Center, I was responsible for researching and applying correct CPT\ICD-9 coding to HCFA and UB-92 claims. Medical coding by the term is the procedure where the codes to diagnoses and procedures are assigned. This is used for financial reimbursement from insurance companies and government agencies etc. This is done by experts who have undergone training program and certification process, This identifies the entire history of the patients and the treatments undertaken.
