CWAHD.com was designed to assist dads in their quest for a work at home
job or business. The idea for this website actually came from my wife.
Since the creation of her website for Christian Work at Home Moms,

we have seen the need for a place that dads can research work at home

We were making introductions at my college alumni dinner when I made a remark that embarrassed my wife.
To be more precise, it hurt her deeply. As we drove home that night she explained her hurt to me. There was no question about it - I needed to ask her forgiveness. When I asked her to forgive me, she blinked back her tears, managed a smile, and then said, "I forgive you." It was an act of pure mercy on her part.
She could have said, "OK, Bob, you did help clean the kitchen the other day. And you did take care of the kids for an hour while I went out. So, all things considered, I guess I’ll let this one get by." If she had forgiven me based on my merit, not her love, that would have been an act of justice, not mercy.
As married couples we can sometimes forget the difference between justice and mercy. God Almighty does not treat us according to our wrongdoing, which would be justice. Instead, He forgives according to our need - that’s mercy. We should offer the same to our spouse each day.
Jesus told us we’re to learn from God how to forgive. The Cross satisfied God’s need for justice so God can now offer unlimited mercy.
Will you let the Cross teach you how to give your wife the mercy she needs?

I find it really hard hard some times to be a Christain husband some days and let my Father in law do things for my wife. Today I got an email from him saying that they wanted to do something on the 10th of Nov. For my wife for her 40th b day. becasue they will be out of town. the weekend before when we will be in town , so i can attend a stock car race with my bro in law. I told him that. and that i was thinking about a surprise party here. on the 10th. then he emailed me and said that w could do it there. but then i would have no control over it. I wanted to do it. not him. Besides If we did it there. none of our friends would drive 3 hours. and I don’t want to drive 3 hours one weekend and then go back again the neext one. it seems that he can’t get the big picture. I would go tell him what I told my mother once, but he is not my father it is my wifes and her two sisters palce. Obne time my mother was causing a little streess. I was having a lot of stress at my dirty three letter word job. so I told her that it couldbe arraged where she would not see her granddaughter for a long time. We are looking in to moving to Albuquerque. And we really were. I still have connections there. But any way it is so hard to be a christain when you have to deal with that. sometimes you are tempted to just blow. but then you have to think WWJD. Then it gets even harder. Working from home gets hard to people think just becuause you work from home you can do what ever for them ath the drop of a hat. Sometimes you can sometimes you can’t. But they don’t tink about that. My piont is lets all think about what we do and say. Lets not try to run our childrens lives once they have a family of their own. If they ask for advice that is one thing. but If you just don’t take in to consideration they are grown b e prepared they me dissapper. I grew up all over the US as Air Force Brat. so moving from town town is easy for me. not so for my wife. But I am head of the house. even if she makes all the money. oneday I will get her Home. And then we can travel a lot if we like.

Matthew 25:14-30
This past weekend I was driving with my wife in the car and we decided that we should include a monthly devotional on CWAHD.com. The first thing that came to my mind the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. Our pastor spoke on this a few weeks ago and it stuck in my mind.
I feel like God has blessed me richly. I have a good job, a great family and a growing business that I hope to be working at full time from home in the near future. Thinking on these verses I caught myself wondering if I use what God has given to the fullest - or am I the man hiding the talent in the ground?
