Jonathon sounds like an awesome trip. My wife and I have talked about doing such things, but it still difficult with two little guys running around the house. I think the fact that we both work from home gives us some flexibility and hopefully in a couple years when they are a little older we will have that opportunity. In the mean time, would love to see some pictures of the trip.

Let’s get a few things straight. Fist, the TV corporation that aired your broadcast succeeded in their goal, which was to get you and other fine Americans riled up! They have successfully drawn in their audience, so their ratings will go up, no matter what happens. Other large corporations, like maybe Nabisco and Hostess, are watching gleefully as a threat to their bottom line is stalled by microscopic issues.

There is a growing health epidemic that trumps almost any we have seen before. It’s called Type II diabetes, and increased consumption of junk food is one of a few major causes. Just think about the arithmatic here. If you eat healthy regularly, and occasionally savor a fritter every Saturday morning, then a junk food tax will cost you pennies. (Remember that if it’s homeade and not mass-produced in a factory, then you pay no tax!) The young boy who has twinkies for a main course is going to notice the tax more. The idea is to use discourage abuse of these foods, in light of the larger issues.

Let’s get back to the topic of business here. Congress is debating some weighty issues, like how to close a trillion-dollar budget deficit without creating austerity measures that sink the economy, like they did in England. I think our politicians need help (prayer, letters, or getting replaced, as possible) in sorting out these issues.

Pastor Bob, My husband was a christian but now he is having an affair and said he wants a divorce and doesnt wanna be with me anymore after 14 years. He is a truck driver and has become involved with the world and another woman. he has cheated before but never left the house like he has this time. I want to fight for my husband, our marriage and our family. He says he can still be saved and get divorced. I want Gods will for my Marriage but i dont know what that is. I have been praying and fasting for months and fighting this spiritual battle. but im worn out. 2 pastors have said i need to get divorced its over but i dont accept that. I cry everyday. I do all that i know to do but no relief, no answers from God, nothing. I dont wanna waste my time if Gods is Saying “it’s over, move on” I want Gods will, Peace, Joy, my husband restored and returned back to me and our children. What is Gods will for marriages that hve gone thru this? I dont understand! Gods word says “what God has joined together let no man put asunder”. I like the way you mention the verse about giving back what is Caesar to Caesar. Tax time can be incredibly stressful!

I have noticed that the kids become more…needy (?) whenever I’m really stressed out. They feel what we feel, and it can be hard to stop yourself from taking our stress out on them, especially when it seems like they won’t leave you alone. Stress affects everyone in the house. Giving it over to God and letting Him help take care of the situation is the best thing to do.

Amen! I wholeheartily agree with you. Adding…..I think that those of us who know “how” to pray are truly fearful of “what” God CAN do from hearing our prayers. Knowing that when we petition our prayers up to our holy God through Jesus, great and mighty things WILL happen. God IS faithful and will do as He plans. BUT when we get IN on what His plans are in prayer, we need to be prepared for the results in getting ready for REAL change and revival!
